Make an investment in your spiritual growth! The Goal: For every believer to advance toward being a disciple - one who continues to learn, one who continues advancing toward spiritual maturity.

There are three classes we suggest everyone take advantage of, in this order:

The Essentials - This is our first class for new members.  It provides a practical explanation of basic Biblical topics that help shape our understanding of God and the Christian faith.  Topics include: “The Lordship of Christ,” “The Authority of Scripture,” “Faith Toward God,” and six more insightful topics.  One student said, “It reminded me of many things I had lost sight of and it reconnected me to the very foundation of my relationship with God.”

Spiritual Gifts - God knows you, He loves you, and He considers you special enough to give you a personal gift so you can serve Him.  Discovering and utilizing your spiritual gifts is one of the most exciting adventures a person can have with God.  Learn how to identify, develop, and begin using your gifts today. One student said, "God showed me my gifts and calling and confirmed it through this course.”  This class will be Sunday mornings at 9:00am, beginning January 22^nd. (6 weeks)

Spiritual Covering- In the Old Testament, God placed a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud before his people to assure them of His covering presence. Today, He has employed a wide range of protective covering over the Christian.  This class is designed to help identify and cooperate with God’s perspective about covering - at home, work, and everywhere you go. One student said, “I wish I had taken this class three bosses ago!”  The class incorporates John Bevere’s book, Under Cover.

Freedom Class -Understand God’s plan and provision for obtaining and maintaining a life of freedom.  Designed to help you learn to hear and respond to God’s voice. Identify and remove those things that may be hindering your growth and enter into the life you were made for. The 10-week course will include several topical studies that will accelerate your path to freedom.

Teacher: Jeff Anderson

Courageous - Men’s class being offered in conjunction with the incredible movie Courageous. Topics include: 1) Responsibility: serving, protecting, and casting a vision for your family, 2) Priorities: focusing on eternal things rather than what is temporary, 3) Legacy: recognizing a father’s potential impact as a godly role model, and 4) Faith: strengthening a father’s identity in Christ, increasing in wisdom.  (8 weeks – begins Jan. 25^th)

Lessons from the Life of Joseph -  The life of Joseph contains a myriad of relevant lessons for the 21st century Christian.  His heart and soul was shaped by rejection, loneliness, deprivation and false accusations.  Yet his life was centered upon his dependence on God.  Cultivate God’s ways of overcoming the same issues in our daily lives.

Personality – Yours & Others   - Why spend a lifetime trying to change who you are when God created you to be you?  Your personality plays a role in how you release your gifts. Look at the personalities of Biblical characters and world leaders. Enhance your strengths and minimize weaknesses.  Improve communication at home, work, and even church.  Fun and fascinating! (6 weeks)

Counseling 1   - We are all faced with the need to counsel or help others through difficult circumstances.  Knowing what to say and when to say it can seem overwhelming.  Learn counseling techniques and procedures that will equip you to be a catalyst for emotional and spiritual wholeness for yourself and others.  Practical applications you can begin using right away.

Prayer Application (men) - Prayer is man’s plea of weakness that heaven cannot disregard.  Men praying together is what laid the foundation of this church in the 1980’s.  This will not be a study group, but rather men collaborating in prayer to establish God’s agenda on the earth while cultivating a closer communion with God.

Whether you are a brand new Christian or if you have been a Christian for many years, there are classes for you at New Covenant Church. You do not have to be a member to join any of these classes.
